Personal Profile

I am a Research Assistant at College of Engineering, Swansea University, Swansea, UK, since 2014 and working with Prof M. Friswell.

Prof S. Adhikari supervised my PhD research. I was awarded the Zienkiewicz Scholarship (established in honour of the late Prof. O. C. Zienkiewicz) for carrying out my PhD research work. The PhD work concentrated on the finite element analysis of randomly parametrized systems (aka Stochastic FEM). The work draws heavily on the concept of expressing the solution of a discretized FE system with a set of orthonormal basis functions spanning the stochastic space based on the seminal work on finite order homogenous chaos by Nobert Weiner. The focus of the work was to investigate reduced order modeling of stochastic dynamical systems with parametrized uncertainty. I was jointly supervised by Prof M. Friswell.

I did my M.Sc. at the Universite de Sherbrooke (Quebec, Canada) with Groupe d'acoustique de l'Universite de Sherbrooke (GAUS) in active vibroacoustic control with smart foams and was supervised by Prof. A. Berry. The published masters work can be found here and here.
